Mazda has opened orders for the 2023 model year version of its CX-5 SUV, with updates including 24V mild hybrid technology being added to all petrol engines.
The upgrade means engine options are now 165hp and 194hp mild hybrid petrols, and 150hp and 184hp diesels.
In addition, 165hp petrol automatic models have become the final variant in the range to gain cylinder deactivation technology, meaning a cumulative CO2 emissions reduction across the petrol engine range of 9g/km.
Other changes for the 2023 CX-5 include the addition of wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, and the front USB ports being switched to USB-C format.
Mazda has also announced new names for the equipment grades in the CX-5 range, which now consists of Centre-Line, Newground, Exclusive-Line, Homura, and Takumi grades.
The first deliveries for the updated range are expected in March next year.
