Facelifted Mercedes-Benz A-Class unveiled

Date: 07 October 2022   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Mercedes-Benz has revealed a newly-updated version of its A-Class lower-medium car.

Each powertrain in the range is now electrified, with previous pure petrol and diesel versions now coming with 48V mild hybrid systems, while plug-in hybrid versions benefit from an increased electric driving range, and a more powerful electric motor.

Exterior design changes include a new-look radiator grille and headlights and a new rear diffuser.

Inside, there's a revised steering wheel, an extra USB-C port, and the latest version of the MBUX infotainment system, which from early 2023 will include a fingerprint sensor for identifying the driver.

Upgrades to the car's ADAS systems include refined lane keeping assist, and the availability of 3D images with a 360-degree parking camera system.
