The start point for the best source of fleet information

Leasing broker fleet bigger than ever, BVRLA reports

Date: 11 October 2022   |   Author: Sean Keywood

The number of vehicles on leasing broker fleets has reached its highest ever level, according to the BVRLA.

The association's overall broker channel fleet has grown by 2.7% this year, to exceed 400,000 vehicles for the first time.

The growth has come despite continuing vehicle supply challenges, although these are said to have plateaued since peaking in March this year.

The BVRLA has announced the data following its recent leasing broker conference, which discussed the key factors impacting the sector's performance, and explored upcoming issues such as the incoming Consumer Duty and the prevalence of the agency model for vehicle supply.

Synergy Car Leasing chief executive and founder and BVRLA Leasing Broker Committee chair Paul Parkinson said: "Leasing brokers have shown how resilient they can be in recent years, dealing with Brexit, Covid, a vehicle supply crisis. The list goes on.

"To see the fleet reach record levels is encouraging and evidence of how well the sector has evolved. I'm confident that the expert speakers have given attendees food for thought to prepare us all for the challenges ahead."
