Peugeot 3008 and 5008 to gain new hybrid powertrains

Date: 06 October 2022   |   Author: Sean Keywood

New hybrid powertrain options have been announced for Peugeot's 3008 and 5008 SUV ranges.

The new variants are said to be the first to feature new-generation hybrid technology from Peugeot's parent company Stellantis.

They will feature a 136hp petrol engine, paired with an electrified dual-clutch gearbox and 48V battery.

Peugeot says this will deliver extra torque at low revs, and a 15% improvement in fuel economy, as well as zero-emission driving for up to 1km at low speeds.

The new variants will launch next year.
