First speakers announced for VRA annual seminar

Date: 07 September 2022   |   Author: Sean Keywood

The Vehicle Remarketing Association (VRA) has announced the first speakers for its annual seminar.

Appearing at the event, which will be on the theme of '2023: The Year Ahead in Remarketing', will be Bank of England West Midlands and Oxfordshire agent Graeme Chaplin, looking at the general economic outlook for next year; Birmingham Business School professor of business economics David Bailey, providing a general overview of the automotive sector; and Loughborough University professor emeritus Jim Saker, examining the changing automotive retail landscape.

Also appearing will be Cap HPI head of forecast strategy Dylan Setterfield, discussing the used market in 2023; Auto Trader performance director Jen Wilson and EV insight manager Louis Maxwell, examining the approaching increase in used EVs; and Stuart Chamberlain, Arval head of B2B and partnerships (remarketing), looking at the practicalities of large scale used EV disposal.

The event, at Warwick University on 22 November, is free to attend, and will also be available to view online.

VRA chair Philip Nothard said: "Our Seminar is one of the high points of the motor industry calendar, attracting close to 200 delegates, and we are very pleased to be able to hold the event for the first time since the start of the pandemic.

"The speakers we have been able to name so far are of a very high quality and we are sure will provide a high level of insight into what 2023 holds for the remarketing sector. We plan to announce more - and our event sponsors - very soon.

"Tickets do tend to go quickly and we would advise those who would like to come along to register quickly."
