New Peugeot E-308 revealed

Date: 13 September 2022   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Peugeot has unveiled the new fully-electric version of its 308 lower-medium car.

The E-308, available as either a hatchback or SW estate, will feature a 156hp electric motor paired with a 54kWh battery, allowing a provisional range of up to 248 miles of the official WLTP cycle.

An on-board 11kW will be standard, and 100kW rapid charging capability will allow a 20-80% charge in less than 25 minutes.

On the move, a Brake driving mode will allow extra range to be added by optimising energy recovery to the battery when the accelerator pedal is released, while a new 18in aluminium wheel design for the E-308 is said to have been developed to optimised aerodynamic efficiency.

There will be a choice of Allure and GT line equipment grades, and standard equipment will include a customisable digital head-up display and a 10in infotainment touchscreen.

Peugeot says the E-308 will be available in the UK from the second half of 2023. Prices are yet to be announced.
