Date: 20 April 2023   |   Author: Sean Keywood

MG has revealed a facelifted version of its HS flagship SUV.

Exterior design updates include new bi-function LED headlights, new front grille and front and rear bumper designs, revised dual exhaust outlets and LED taillights, and new 18in diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Inside, the 10.1in infotainment touchscreen has been fitted with upgraded hardware, designed to provide faster and smoother functionality.

The range consists of SE and Trophy equipment grades. Standard equipment with the SE grade includes air conditioning, sat-nav, a reversing camera with parking sensors, rain sensing wipers, keyless entry, and a leather steering wheel. Also standard is the MG Pilot package of safety systems, including active emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane keep assist with lane departure warning system, intelligent speed limit assist, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, and intelligent high beam assist.

Further equipment with the Trophy grade includes leather upholstery, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, ambient interior lighting, rear privacy glass, and an upgraded six-speaker audio system.

Prices start at £23,495 for the SE grade, and rise to £25,995 for the Trophy grade.

The facelifted HS is only being offered with a 1.5-litre, 162hp petrol engine. MG says the current plug-in hybrid version will also continue to be available alongside the updated car
