New Cupra Tavascan revealed

Date: 24 April 2023   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Cupra has unveiled the Tavascan, its new electric SUV-coupe.

The model will be available with a choice of 286hp or 340hp powertrains, with the latter featuring a dual-motor set-up with all-wheel drive.

A 77kWh battery pack will allow a range between charges of around 341 miles. A 10-80% charge will be possible in just under half an hour using a 135kW charger.

Cupra's second all-electric model, following the Born, the Tavascan measures 4,644mm long, 1,861mm wide, and 1,597mm high.

Exterior design highlights include matrix LED headlights with a three-triangle signature, while interior equipment will include a 15in infotainment screen - the largest yet fitted to a Cupra model.

Driver assistance features will include connected travel assist with cloud data, which Cupra says will improve the system's effectiveness on poorly-marked roads.

The Tavascan will be launched in 2024. UK specs and prices are yet to be announced.
