DriverCheck appoints new head of sales

Date: 02 February 2023   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Licence checking and compliance company DriverCheck has announced the appointment of Andy Smith as head of sales.

Smith has been with DriverCheck's parent company Ebbon group for six years, and was most recently account manager - logistics for Ebbon Automotive's moDel delivery system.

He will be reporting to group CEOs , Robert Pilkington and Craig Gibbin.

Smith's is the latest in a series of new appointments for Glasgow-based DriverCheck, which for all but new business sales is being led by head of operations Yvette Giannini.

Smith said: "I'm very excited by the new role and believe there is huge potential within DriverCheck. I'll continue to be based from my home office near Birmingham in the Midlands but will obviously be spending more time in Glasgow and out on the road meeting clients.

"Being based in the centre of the country is actually an ideal location because our clients are nationwide and I'm looking forward to meeting and getting to know as many as possible."

Pilkington said: "We are delighted to announce Andy Smith as the new Head of Sales at our DriverCheck business.

"His promotion is the last piece in the jigsaw at DriverCheck, which will allow us to continue to expand and develop the business in our chosen areas."

Gibbin said: "Many congratulations to Andy in his new role as Head of Sales which completes the new DriverCheck management team.

"Underlining our continued commitment to the business, we have taken on new, larger offices and are investing in a complete technology update and refresh."
