Mercedes-Benz has confirmed UK specs and prices for the updated version of its GLE SUV, which is now on sale.
The model is available with either conventional SUV or Coupe bodystyles. The former can be had with either AMG Line, AMG Line Premium, or AMG Line Premium Plus equipment grades, while the latter is AMG Line Premium Plus only.
Standard features with the AMG Line grade include keyless go, multibeam adaptive LED headlights, a 'transparent bonnet' camera system, a 360-degree parking camera, air suspension with adaptive damping, 20in alloy wheels, climate control, a 'widescreen cockpit' infotainment set-up, ambient lighting, electric front memory seats, electric rear seats, MBUX sat-nav with augmented reality and live traffic, a Burmester surround sound system, wireless smartphone charging, and a dash cam.
Stepping up to the AMG Line Premium grade adds equipment such as 21in alloy wheels, a panoramic sliding sunroof, upgraded climate control, a head-up display, climatised front seats, and a temperature-controlled cupholder.
Further equipment with range-topping AMG Line Premium Plus spec includes 22in alloy wheels, soft-closing doors, surround lighting, multi-contour front seats, and MBUX Interior Assistant.
As previously announced, the GLE range now features a fully electrified powertrain selection, including a 381hp mild hybrid petrol, 269hp and 367hp mild hybrid diesels, and a 381hp petrol plug-in hybrid. The latter features a 31.2kWh battery, allowing an electric driving range of up to 60 miles on the official WLTP cycle.
Prices for the updated GLE range start at £77,890 for a 269hp diesel SUV AMG Line, and rise as high as £95,455 for a plug-in hybrid Coupe AMG Line Premium Plus.
