Volkswagen Touareg updates announced

Date: 15 February 2023   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Volkswagen has announced details of the forthcoming facelifted version of its Touareg SUV.

The updated model, currently only pictured in camouflaged prototype form, will make its full debut this summer.

Among the new exterior features of the car are IQ.Light HD matrix headlights - capable of delivering what VW calls a 'lane light' function illuminating the lane of a dual carriageway in front of the vehicle - and an illuminated VW badge on the rear.

VW has also announced chassis tweaks including a new roof load sensor feature, which adjusts driver assistance systems depending on whether a roof box is fitted and loaded, and updated suspension settings.

Inside, an 'Innovision Cockpit' infotainment set-up features a 15in touchscreen, with elements including lane-precise sat-nav, updated voice control, and wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity.

Softer armrests and centre console panels will also be fitted.
