The cost of using public EV chargers fell by up to 19% month-on-month in June, according to the AA.
New data from the motoring organisation shows that the average cost of a peak-period fast (8-22kW) or rapid (23-100kW) charge came down from 98p/kWh in May to 79p/kWh.
There was also a 13p drop in off-peak rates, while average ultra-rapid (more than 101kW) charging prices came down by 7p/kWh (peak) and 4p/kWh (off-peak) to 65p/kWh and 57p/kWh respectively.
AA president Edmund King said: "This is exactly the spark EV ownership needed after the electricity cost crisis. The future of electric cars is now looking very bright.
"A 19p/kWh fall in a month for both fast and rapid peak time charging shows how quickly chargepoint operators can adjust their pricing and give EV drivers the benefit of cheaper energy.
"With predictions of further reductions in energy prices throughout 2023, EV owners may feel that this drop is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to charging out on the road."
