Peugeot has opened orders for the updated version of its 2008 compact SUV, including the E-2008 electric variant.

Both petrol and electric versions are available with Active, Allure, and GT equipment grades, while the E-2008 is also available with a higher-spec First Edition grade.

Standard equipment with the Active grade includes a 10in touchscreen, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, rear parking sensors, cruise control with speed limiter, and automatic emergency braking.

Further equipment with the Allure grade includes 'natural' voice recognition, a 10in instrument cluster, front parking sensors, an electronic handbrake, and selectable drive modes.

Further features with the GT grade include a 3D instrument cluster, an HD reversing camera, full LED headlights with Smartbeam assist and automatic height adjustment, a leather steering wheel, keyless entry, and wireless smartphone charging.

The First Edition spec also includes heated Alcantara seats, an electrically adjustable driver's seat with massage function, an 11kW onboard charger, and connected sat-nav.

The E-2008 features a 156hp electric motor with a 54kWh battery. Also available are 100hp or 130hp petrol engines, depending on spec.

Range prices start at £24,020 for a 100hp petrol Active, and rise as high as £41,600 for an E-2008 First Edition.
