Volkswagen has announced a new, high-spec version of its Touareg large SUV.
The new R-Line Tech Plus equipment grade features - according to VW - extra equipment worth around £5,000 compared with the existing R-Line Tech grade, but with a price premium of only £1,720.
The additional features of R-Line Tech Plus spec include 21in black alloy wheels, air suspension, a panoramic sunroof, an electric tailgate, 30-colour ambient interior lighting, block roof rails, and a heated windscreen.
The new variant is available with a choice of either 231hp or 286hp 3.0-litre diesel engines. Prices are £64,520 with the former, and £67,200 with the latter.
