Nexus Vehicle Rental appoints chief technology officer

Nexus Vehicle Rental has announced the appointment of Ian Baxter as chief technology officer.

Baxter is said to have a proven track record of digital innovation and leadership, spanning more than 20 years across global FTSE 250 and Fortune 200 companies.

He joins Nexus from B2B electronics distribution company Avnet and Farnell.

Baxter said: "Nexus is a unique business which has always been at the forefront of technology innovation. 

"I am really looking forward to taking on this new opportunity as CTO and I'm excited to work on accelerating the growth plans of an industry-leading business in the mobility sector.

"Working with a world-class team, we are already planning a series of digital innovations that will fuel future technology evolution and provide a frictionless experience to delight our customers at Nexus."

Nexus executive chairman David Brennan said: "With Ian joining the team as our first chief technology officer, we are focused on strengthening our business proposition going forward.
