Peugeot 2008 and E-2008 facelift announced, including electric powertrain upgrade

Date: 05 May 2023   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Peugeot has unveiled a facelifted version of its 2008 small SUV, including the E-2008 electric variant.

The latter model gets perhaps the most significant update with an upgraded powertrain, featuring a larger battery and new electric motor. Power output is increased by 18% to 156hp, and range is increased from 214 miles to 252 miles on the official WLTP cycle.

The regular 2008 comes with 100hp or 130hp petrol engines, with a new petrol mild hybrid option also set to join the range next year.

Exterior design changes with the facelift include a new, wider front end, while both ends of the car feature Peugeot's latest 'vertical claw' light signature arrangement.

Inside, the i-Cockpit driver display screen has been updated with new customisation options, and new seat upholstery is provided.

Orders for the updated range will open this summer, with a choice of Active, Allure, and GT equipment grades. Full specs and prices are yet to be announced.
