Jeep Avenger mild hybrid and petrol variants on the way

Date: 14 November 2023   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Jeep has announced details of mild hybrid and petrol versions of its Avenger small SUV, until now only available as a pure EV.

The new Avenger e-Hybrid features a 100hp petrol engine, with a 21kW electric motor which allows the car to drive with the engine off in certain situations when moving at less than 18 miles an hour, and also assists the engine with low-end torque.

The Avenger e-Hybrid will also come with features including a sunroof, powered driver's seat with massage function, and 7in or 10.25in instrument displays.

As for the 100hp petrol version of the Avenger, this will be available with the limited-edition Altitude Plus model, features of which also include sat-nav, a reversing camera, and a JBL audio system.

Orders for the Avenger e-Hybrid will open next month, with the first deliveries expected from the second quarter of 2024.

The Avenger Altitude Plus is due to arrive next month.
