New Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate specs and prices announced

Mercedes-Benz has confirmed UK specs and prices for the Estate version of its new, sixth-generation E-Class executive car.

The E-Class Estate, which has a boot capacity of up to 615 litres with the rear seats in place, and 1,830 litres with them folded, is available with a choice of three powertrain options. This includes a plug-in hybrid, which pairs a 204hp petrol engine with a 127hp electric motor, and features a 25.4kWh battery, allowing a pure electric range of up to 69 miles on the official WLTP cycle.

Other engine options are a 204hp petrol mild hybrid, and a 197hp diesel mild hybrid.

Available equipment grades are AMG Line, AMG Line Advanced, AMG Line Premium, AMG Line Premium Plus, and Exclusive Edition.

Standard equipment with AMG Line spec includes 18in alloy wheels, LED headlights with adaptive high beam assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot assist, traffic sign assist, a 14.4in infotainment screen with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, a 12.3in driver display, two-zone climate control, wireless charging, heated front seats, and a reversing camera.

Further equipment with the AMG Line Advanced grade includes 19in alloy wheels, Digital Light LED headlights, memory seats, augmented reality sat-nav, and a 360-degree camera system.

AMG Line Premium spec gains the MBUX Superscreen, which unites the 14.4in central screen with a screen for the front-seat passenger behind the same large glass surface, as well as a Burmester 4D premium sound system, active ambient lighting, and keyless go.

Further features of the AMG Line Premium Plus grade include 20in alloy wheels, a head-up display, a panoramic sunroof, four-zone climate control, the MBUX Interior Assistant, projecting LED headlights, a 3D instrument cluster, and an illuminated radiator grille.

Exclusive Edition cars feature 21in alloy wheels, Exclusive interior and exterior styling, and a bonnet-mounted Mercedes-Benz star,

The new E-Class Estate is on sale now. Prices start at £57,930 for a mild hybrid petrol AMG Line, and rise as high as £78,835 for an AMG Line Premium Plus plug-in hybrid.
