New Skoda Superb revealed

Date: 03 November 2023   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Skoda has revealed the new, fourth-generation version of its Superb upper-medium car.

It will be available with a choice of hatchback and estate bodystyles, and with engine options including a 204hp plug-in hybrid capable of covering more than 62 miles on electric power alone, thanks to a 25.7kWh battery. This will also be compatible with up to 50kW DC charging.

Other engine options will include a 150hp mild hybrid petrol, 204hp and 265hp petrols, and 150hp and 193hp diesels.

Compared with the outgoing model, Skoda says the new Superb has a more aerodynamic shape, and increased interior space and boot capacity.

Technology highlights include the availability of new LED matrix headlights with 40% more light output, and an infotainment screen measuring up to 13in.

Configurable Smart Dials, with integrated digital colour displays, allow control of functions such as audio volume and cabin temperature.

Full UK specs, prices, and an on-sale date are yet to be announced.
