Polestar announces Ohme and Octopus Energy partnerships

Date: 02 November 2023   |   Author: Sean Keywood

EV manufacturer Polestar has announced new UK partnerships, with Ohme as home charging partner and Octopus Energy as green energy provider.

According to Polestar, the three-way partnership will offer its fleet and retail customers cheaper charging at home and on the road, together with the option to reduce carbon footprint through renewable energy provision for home charging.

Head of Polestar UK Jonathan Goodman said: "By charging your EV on renewable energy, whether at home or away, the carbon footprint can be more than halved during the car's lifecycle compared to a petrol car.

"Our partnership with Ohme and Octopus makes this process easier, simple and effective for our customers and at the same time offers significant off-peak savings."

Ohme CEO David Watson said: "Our new collaboration with Polestar underlines Ohme's position as one of the UK's fastest growing dynamic smart charging companies.

"Polestar has revolutionised the introduction of EVs to the UK and with Ohme's technology giving drivers the control to get more from their EVs, Ohme and Polestar are a natural partnership."
