Omoda 5 specs and prices announced

Chinese brand Omoda has confirmed specs and prices for its first UK market car.

A medium SUV, the Omoda 5 will be available with either a 1.6-litre, 190hp petrol engine, or an electric powertrain, the details of which are yet to be announced.

The petrol version has a fuel economy rating of 31.4mpg on the WLTP cycle, and CO2 emissions of 170g/km.

The Omoda 5 will come with a choice of Comfort and Noble equipment grades. Standard equipment with the Comfort grade includes LED headlights, Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, and wireless charging for two mobile phones.

Further equipment with the Noble grade includes 18in alloy wheels, a power sunroof, a heated steering wheel, and a 360-degree camera system.

Prices for petrol versions of the Omoda 5 start at £24,000 for the Comfort grade, and £27,000 for Noble, with UK sales due to begin in March 2024. EV prices are yet to be announced.
