The start point for the best source of fleet information

Epyx launches new remarketing option

Date: 05 March 2024   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Software firm Epyx has added a new multi-channel remarketing feature to its 1link Disposal Network platform.

It says the function allows absolute flexibility over pricing and remarketing route, allowing, for instance, a fleet vendor to place a vehicle in a trade and a retail channel at the same time, at different prices.

Allocations can be made individually or automatically, with vehicles able to be allocated by criteria including brand, model, mileage, and value, and priced and assigned accordingly.

Epyx chief commercial officer Tim Meadows said: "Since its launch in 2005, the key strength of 1link Disposal Network has been the control that it provides to fleets, enabling them to allocate defleeted vehicles to the best possible remarketing channel in a completely agnostic manner.

"The multi-channel remarketing tool adds several layers of sophistication to this, providing a genuinely granular level of management. Whether a fleet is disposing of a hundred identical vehicles or a single car, van or truck, it enables them to ensure that that the remarketing strategy adopted has the best possible chance of maximising its value."

Meadows suggested that a substantial fall in used vehicle values during the last six months or so had made fleets receptive to more refined disposal strategies.

He said: "We've been through a quite long period when fleets have habitually achieved strong returns because of a combination of reduced supply and increased demand.

"Now, we are returning to something that more closely resembles the pre-pandemic market, and those in charge of disposal are having to be much more proactive.

"Developments that we are introducing to 1link Disposal Network - and more will soon be announced - are very much designed to help them do this. It's about giving fleets the right tools to meet their needs at the right moment."
