Remarketing firm Adesa has opened a second defleet centre.
The company says the new facility, on a 21-acre site in Doncaster, Yorkshire, has been opened to meet growing demand for its online remarketing services.
It will be used to store, process, clean and photograph vehicles from major leasing companies and corporate fleets before they are uploaded to Adesa’s remarketing platform.
The centre is equipped with technology including the AI-enabled appraisal system Adesa IVI and the web-based vehicle tracking system Auction Trac, which are designed to reduce the amount of time it takes to get a vehicle listed online.
The opening of the Doncaster facility follows the opening last year of Adesa’s first defleet centre in Newbury.
Adesa UK managing director Jonathan Holland said: “The quicker we can get vehicles uploaded and appearing online, the quicker a dealer can source that inventory and our sellers can maximise their returns.
“The new Doncaster defleet centre allows us to process more vehicles in a timely manner – helping us disrupt lengthy mainstream turnaround times and create a more seamless, best-in-class experience for our customers in northern England.
“Our network of defleeting centres in Newbury and Doncaster are key strategic investments that are helping us make remarketing faster, easier and more efficient than ever before.”
