Alfa Romeo‘s replacement for the 147, the Giulietta, will be launched early next summer to take on the Audi A3 and BMW 1-series.
There are four engines to choose from – 1.6 105PS or 2.0 170PS diesels and 1.4 120 and 170PS petrols – and all come with stop-start technology to cut emissions. The Italian brand is yet to confirm emissions and economy figures or pricing, however.
The five-seater is slightly longer than an A3, and has an identical boot volume figure to its German rival.
More details will be available as the car’s launch approaches, with its first public appearance scheduled for March’s Geneva motor show.
