Auction firm BCA has updated its Buyer app to allow users to place bids on its Bid Now online sale platform.
Bid Now auctions run for fixed periods of time, and bids can be placed at any point until the closing time is reached.
If a user is outbid by another bidder, they get an email offering them the chance to increase their bid if the sale is still open.
The update means app users can now bid on all of BCA’s online sales, with real-time auctions and Buy Now fixed price sales also included.
BCA chief marketing and data officer Dene Jones said: “The BCA Buyer app is a valuable and integral channel for our customers to acquire stock safely and efficiently and usage has risen steadily during the lockdown period.
“Over 14,000 buyers now regularly access the online BCA sales programme via the BCA Buyer app, bidding on and buying thousands of vehicles every week, making it the most widely used transactional mobile app serving the wholesale used vehicle sector.”
