BCA says its Battery Health Grading service, introduced a year ago, has delivered increased buyer confidence.
The auction company said that across a basket of over 22,000 battery graded vehicles it had seen a £258 (1.4%) uplift in performance versus guide price and an improvement in time-to-sell of 2.7 days.
The EV sale conversion rate also improved by 6.5% compared with the period immediately before the service launched.
The service offers a standardised, data-driven assessment of EV battery condition. Powered by Aviloo, it gives a clear, independent view of an EV’s battery condition, graded from A to E, alongside a precise State of Health percentage.
BCA UK COO Stuart Pearson said: “Battery transparency is critical to building trust in the used EV market. Our grading system provides the clarity that buyers need and the confidence sellers want, helping to drive stronger residual values and faster sales.”
