BCA has announced a series of infrastructure improvements to its remarketing facilities over the next two years.
By the end of the year, the remarketing giant will open a new centre at Perry Barr in Birmingham, located just off the M6.
Perry Barr facilities will include three auction halls and a digital auction suite, while there will also be undercover viewing space for 600 vehicles.
Around 200 jobs will be created at the centre, ranging from technical, operational and administrative roles, to inspectors and vehicle preparation staff.
BCA also confirmed it is expanding its existing Blackbushe centre, with a further 36 acres to be developed within the next two year, while the firm’s Belle Vue site will be increased by 6.5 acres, and the Bedford location will grow by 10 acres.
“As BCA is handling growing volumes of stock both from existing vendors and new business wins, we are investing in the physical footprint, logistics, technology and process to deliver a comprehensive remarketing service that meets the needs of all our customers,” said Simon Henstock, BCA’s chief operating officer.
