Only allowed a four- or five-door car on your fleet policy, but always wanted a BMW M3? Well, BMW is adding a saloon version of the new 420PS M3.
BMW has built saloon versions of its super saloon before, but the previous generation model was only available as a two-door car.
The car uses the same 4.0-litre V8 engine as the M3 coupe and as a result is only 0.1 seconds slower in the 0-62mph sprint than the coupe, with the saloon hitting 62mph in 4.9secs. Should drivers be worried about such things, the average fuel consumption comes in at 22.8mpg.
A BMW spokesman said: “Like the M3 coupe, the saloon also features an M Drive Manager that brings together numerous personalised functions of the car. Once the desired engine and suspension settings are created in the iDrive menu, one push of the MDrive button transforms the M3 from a car suitable to collect the kids from school in into supercar-beater.”
Pricing and an on-sale date have yet to be revealed.
