Budget Car Rental has announced that it is opening eight new locations in the UK this year in what the company calls a “strategic growth initiative.”
New centres will open, or have opened earlier this year in Truo, Yeading and Birmingham, while the company’s Edinburgh has relocated to a new premises in the city.
Those wanting to rent cars in London will also be well-catered for, as a centre opened near the St Pancras railway station earlier this year, and centres are due to open in Wembley and Harlow between September and October.
“The opening of the new Budget Car Rental locations demonstrates our commitment to better serving value-conscious travelers,” said Larry De Shon, president of Avis Budget Group.
The UK expansion is part of a Europe-wide growth spurt where the company is opening 175 new centres this year. Budget Car Rental has 3350 locations in more than 120 countries.
