
There are now less than two months to go until entries close for the Business Car Awards 2025.
Entries will be accepted until 4 July, and will then be judged by panels of independent experts.
The awards will then be presented at our awards ceremony at the Hilton, London Bankside, on Thursday 18 September.
Sponsors of the event include The AA, Engineius, Grosvenor, and Ogilvie Fleet.
To help you put together your entries, below we have listed some information about what the judges will be looking for when they choose the winners.

The categories below are in addition to other manufacturer and headline awards which do not require entries, with shortlists in those categories being selected by our judges.
Supplier awards
Best leasing company (under 25,000 vehicles)
This award is for the outstanding contract hire company supplying less than 25,000 vehicles, demonstrating it is easy to do business with, as well as initiatives to retain existing and attract new clients.
Best leasing company (over 25,000 vehicles)
As above, but for a company supplying more than 25,000 vehicles.
Best rental company
This award is for the outstanding daily rental company to the fleet sector, demonstrating innovation, and a customer-focused service.
Best customer service
Judges will look for evidence of a customer-oriented approach, with its effect on retention or increased client base.
Best eco initiative
This rewards the product or service from a fleet supplier that customers would be able to use to tangibly drive down fleet emissions or reduce the business’s carbon footprint through the activity of the fleet.
Best innovation
This award is for a new technology product or service that has made a significant improvement to the organisations that adopt it.
Best remarketing
This award is for the outstanding remarketing company for the fleet sector, demonstrating an innovative approach, and broad range of services.
Risk management award
The winner will be a specialist in risk management, with evidence of how fleets have tangibly reduced their exposure to risk through its products and services.
Best fleet software
Looking after a fleet of vehicles can be a challenge. Here we choose the pick of specialist software, designed to support companies in running their fleet.
Best fleet management software
The monitoring of vehicle and driver data has never been more relevant. Here we celebrate the best management software, to help stay on top of what’s important and legal.
Best fleet management company
This award will go to the provider that does the best job of running customers’ fleets for them, handling all the wide-ranging requirements, from sourcing vehicles and booking servicing to keeping on top of driver compliance and assisting with fleet electrification.
Best telematics product
This award is for an outstanding telematics product that helps reduce costs and improve safety, demonstrating ease of use and reporting.
Wellbeing award
This award is to recognise the importance of work carried out to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of staff within the fleet sector. This could be something as simple as offering a staff support network, health initiatives, or even a training scheme. All that must be shown, is the engagement of employees and a clear commitment to a vision or strategy that promotes wellbeing across the business and supporting suppliers.
Innovation in EV
This award is for an EV-specific product or service which helps customers to get the best out of their electric fleet. Entrants could include chargepoint companies, charging apps, and charging management systems.
Manufacturer awards
Most improved manufacturer of the year
Manufacturers should tell us what they’ve done in the previous 12 months to improve fleet sales, such as action on residual values, more appealing model variants, or just how they’ve made themselves easier for fleets to do business with, as well as how they’ve worked to reduce fleet customers’ and their own environmental impact.
Fleet manufacturer of the year
Manufacturers should demonstrate how their brand is growing its fleet business year after year, continues to innovate and adapt to changing market conditions, and ensures the needs of fleet customers are met repeatedly.
Headline awards
Fleet manager of the year
This award is for the fleet manager who has shown they have improved the running of their fleet across a wide range of areas, including utilisation, costs, and safety.
Fleet supplier of the year
This award is for an outstanding business set up to serve fleets. Entrants should outline how their product or service is indispensable to efficient fleet operation.
