Orders have opened for Citroen’s new electric MPV, the E-Spacetourer.
Featuring the same powertrain as the E-C4 hatchback which went on sale earlier this week, the E-Spacetourer has a 136hp motor and a 50kWh battery, and can cover a range of up to 143 miles from a single charge on the WLTP test cycle.
An 80% battery charge from a 100kW rapid charger takes 30 minutes, while a full charge from a 7.4kW wallbox takes seven-and-a-half hours.
The E-Spacetourer comes with three rows of seats, and with the Business equipment grade can accommodate up to nine people.
This spec, which unsurprisingly Citroen says is aimed at professional users, comes with a hardwearing TPO floor for improved durability.
The other grade in the range, Feel, is said to be aimed at families, and features a child observation mirror, rail-mounted rear seats, a load restraint net in the boot, and automatic dual-zone climate control with six ceiling-mounted air vents.
Standard equipment with all E-Spacetourers includes a 7in touchscreen with Apply Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, and a Citroen Connect Box, which allows the driver to set up deferred charging or to pre-condition the vehicle via the MyCitroen smartphone app.
The E-Spacetourer also comes with a free six-month subscription to the Polar public charging network.
Prices, including the UK Government’s plug-in car grant, are £45,600 for the Business grade, and £46,250 for Feel.
The first customer deliveries are expected from November.
