Citroen has previewed what its next crossovers will look like with a new petrol plug-in hybrid concept car called the Aircross.
The car features design influenced by the C4 Cactus and hints at how future Citroen SUVs will look.
It is expected that the Aircross will inform several new crossovers from the French brand, including a small SUV and larger seven-seat model.
The Aircross concept is fitted with a 95bhp lithium-ion powered electric motor mated to a 1.6-litre 218bhp petrol engine. The concept can be charged from flat to full in three and a half hours and can be driven on zero emissions mode for 31 miles.
The concept has a CO2 emissions output of 39g/km and fuel efficiency of 166mpg. The combined power output of 313bhp means the Aircross concept can accelerate from 0-62mph in 4.5 seconds.
