The Department for Transport is not focussed enough on the environment, and the EU’s 130g/km target for new car emissions isn’t difficult to achieve, according to a new survey from the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership.
The survey of 250+ member organisations with an interest in greener fuels, found 65% feel that the DfT isn’t placing enough emphasis on the environment, while 70% feel the 130g/km is achievable without difficulty.
Meanwhile three-quarters of respondents claimed the UK is either an “average performer” or a “laggard” in terms of initiatives to cut transport CO2 emissions.
