London car-sharing club DriveNow has announced a reduction in prices for its members.
Users will now be able to rent vehicles from 29p a minute, which the firm says is around 20% less than a comparable Uber journey.
Previously, all vehicles were priced at 39p/minute, but the firm has dropped its fees in an attempt to “encourage people to embrace the concept of fully flexible mobility.”
Vehicles can be hired from the following prices:
Mini – 29p/min
BMW 1-series – 31p/min
Mini convertible and BMW i3 – 34p/min
“With a 15 minute journey now coming in at just £4.35, we’re now not only the most stylish transport option in London, but one of the most cost-efficient ones too,” said Joseph Seal-Driver, managing director of DriveNow UK. “And with our recent addition of convertibles to the fleet, there’s now a car to suit every need: from sunny trips to London Fields to congestion-charge-exempt shopping days in Soho.”
