The Range Rover Evoque will be Land Rover‘s biggest corporate seller when it goes on sale later this year, according to UK managing director Colin Green.
Green, who took over as UK MD at the end of last year, would not be drawn on exact sales expectations, but said: “We’ve had 2500 £2000 deposits so far. And while the official fleet split will be in line with the rest of our range there will be a lot of small business operators who buy the car with business money.”
Land Rover’s fleet split in 2010 was 27%, or just more than 10,000.
“Evoque will become our single biggest seller and we’re doing 12,000 Freelanders a year, which is our current best seller.”
In 2010 just over a third of Freelander sales were to fleets.
Green expects the 130g/km CO2 two-wheel drive Evoque diesel to be the most popular model in the business car market.
