A new private hire service for businesses has been launched in London. Known as Black Car Service, the company has a fleet of 150 black VW CCs, which it is offering to what it describes as “traditional” businesses such as banks, law firms and blue-chip companies.
The firm, owned by Transdev, the parent company behind the Green Tomato Cars eco taxi service and luxury hire firm Trident Niven, is billing the venture as low cost, discreet executive transport, and claims that hire prices are the same as those of Green Tomato Cars.
It promises a 15-minute response time in central London, and all cars come with 4G wi-fi.
The company expects its fleet to double to 300 vehicles by the end of 2014 and a further 100 vehicles are scheduled for delivery the following year.
