Jeep has taken the wraps off a revised version of its Cherokee SUV.
The vehicle made its debut at the Detroit Motor Show, and is due to arrive in Europe in the second half of 2018.
The new Cherokee features exterior styling tweaks to components including the front fascia, bonnet, LED headlights, daytime running lights and fog lights.
Inside there’s a Uconnect infotainment system including sat-nav, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a choice of either 7in or 8.4in touchscreens with pinch-and-zoom capability.
Under the bonnet, there’s a new 2.0-litre direct injection, turbocharged petrol engine available, alongside a four-cylinder 2.4-litre and six-cylinder 3.2-litre, both also petrol.
All the engine options can be specced with a nine-speed automatic transmission, and come with electronic stop-start technology.
Jeep is offering the Cherokee with a choice of three four-wheel-drive systems: Active Drive I, Active Drive II and Active Drive Lock.
The car also comes with rear-axle disconnect technology, which Jeep says reduces energy loss when four-wheel-drive isn’t needed, while improving fuel efficiency.
Prices have not yet been revealed. Jeep says detailed product specifications for European models will be made available closer to when they go on sale.
