Mercedes-Benz has unveiled an updated version of its GLE SUV.
It now features a fully electrified powertrain selection, including a 381hp mild hybrid petrol, 269hp and 367hp mild hybrid diesels, a 381hp petrol plug-in hybrid, and a 333hp diesel plug-in hybrid.
The PHEVs feature a 31.2kWh battery, allowing an electric driving range of up to 67 miles on the official WLTP cycle.
Mercedes says most of the engine options on offer now have more power than their pre-facelift equivalents.
Exterior design changes include a new front bumper and radiator grille, and redesigned headlights and tail lights.
Inside, there is new chrome detailing, and a new-generation steering wheel with touch controls. The latest-generation version of the Mercedes MBUX infotainment system is also included, while Apple Carplay and Android Auto are now available wirelessly.
New driver assistance systems include a ‘transparent bonnet’ function, allowing the driver to see a virtual view from under the vehicle to help with navigating off-road terrain.
The updated GLE range is due to arrive in showrooms in July. Prices and UK specs are yet to be announced.
