Fleet consultancy firm Fleet Audits’ is offering an updated version of its two-day ‘Basic Fleet Management’ training course on Tuesday 4th – Wednesday 5th February in Reigate (Surrey).

The course offers an introduction to good fleet management practices and is taught in what organisers described as “a highly interactive tuition style”, with updates made into the more general ‘business mobility management’ areas in order to reflect the evolving market. 

In particular, the various modules will cover subjects such as the increasing role of telematics, replacement cycle optimisation, vehicle selection, fuel choice, cost reduction opportunities, “Grey Fleet” operation and management as well as insurance and accident/ risk management.

No prior expertise is necessary for the course, as it aims to provide the key skills needed for modern fleet management in simple, non-technical language, with Fleet Audits’ describing it as “a course on efficient and cost-effective business mobility, rather than on policy and strategy.”

“We have been running the ‘Basic Fleet Management’ course since 1987” said Stewart Whyte, managing director of Fleet Audits Limited. “This re-write is probably the most extensive ever, as it extends to latest vehicle technologies and emerging ‘alternative’ fuels, the increasing role of telematics, salary sacrifice schemes and grey fleet management, all based on a well-proven story-line that keeps each topic relevant to the key needs of the end-user fleet organisation.”

Full 48-hour hotel accomodation, as well as courseware such as notes, slides and software tools, is included in the course fee of £845, although the tuition alone is available for £495.
