Citroen has confirmed UK specifications and prices for its new C5 Aircross SUV.
The new model is 4.5m long, with its design featuring Citroen’s Airbump protective panels, and a boot capacity of between 580 and 720 litres, with sliding rear seats allowing the luggage space to be extended.
Available trim levels will be Feel, Flair and Flair Plus, with prices starting at £23,225 for an entry-level model.
Standard equipment includes a 12.3in digital instrument cluster, and an 8in touchscreen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto compatibility, while standard safety features include autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring and collision risk warning.
Flair trim adds standard equipment including a reversing camera and sat-nav with TomTom Live updates.
Further standard equipment with Flair Plus trim includes extended traffic sign recognition and speed recommendation, intelligent beam headlights, wireless smartphone charging and a panoramic sunroof.
The new model will be available with a choice of four engines – a 1.5-litre 130hp diesel, a 2.0-litre 180hp diesel, a 1.2-litre 130hp petrol and a 1.6-litre 180hp petrol.
Transmission options will be a six-speed manual and an eight-speed automatic.
Official combined fuel economy and CO2 emissions figures vary slightly depending on spec, but start at 70.6mpg and 106g/km for a 130hp diesel, 60.1mpg and 124g/km for a 180hp diesel, 54.3mpg and 119g/km for a 130hp petrol, and 46.6mpg and 129g/km for a 180hp petrol.
All models are front-wheel drive. Citroen’s Grip Control system, featuring hill descent control, is available as an option on cars with automatic transmission.
The C5 Aircross will be available to order from 3 December, with the official UK on-sale date being the 4 February 2019.
A plug-in hybrid model is set to arrive in early 2020.
