Honda has announced the appointment of Marc Samuel, who will lead its corporate fleet and SME operation in the newly created role of fleet sales operations manager.
Samuel, whose previous role was Honda’s national sales manager, has over 10 years’ experience in the fleet automotive sector having worked in a number of roles at Volkswagen, Toyota, Manheim and Nissan. He will be building on Honda’s recent success in the fleet and corporate market, by leading the team to deliver a revitalised fleet programme.
“My immediate focus is to lead our fleet and corporate team and to build on the initial success of our relaunched Platinum Programme,” Samuel said. “What’s more, I’m confident we have a great range of cars for fleet customers and the programme will help them understand fully how Honda vehicles can best support their business. The addition of the all-new Civic only further enhances the offering we have for our corporate clients, especially given the immensely positive media feedback the car received following its recent global launch.”
Phil Webb, head of cars at Honda UK, commented: “We absolutely want to exceed expectations in the corporate world and ensure that we work with our dedicated dealer network to provide the best in customer service, as people expect of Honda. With Samuel’s appointment, we’re confident our new focus and team set-up will execute our long-term vision of sustainable and steady growth.”
