Airline group Air France KLM has taken delivery of 31 Hyundai Ioniq hybrids for its company car fleet.
The vehicles have been supplied by Activa Contracts, which has worked with Air France KLM since 2012.
The airline says the Ioniqs are part of its aim to be as sustainable as possible in everyday business operations.
Air France KLM UK and Ireland general manager Benedicte Duval said: “The delivery of these new low-emission vehicles is a continuation of our ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainability in the UK.
“We believe that to be truly sustainable, we need to start from within.
“With the delivery of the new hybrid company car fleet, we are boosting our internal sustainability, which we believe will only facilitate sustainable growth in all business areas.”
Activa Contracts area manager Steve Judge, who manages Air France KLM’s account, said: “Activa Contracts’ consultancy-based analysis took into account the requirements of Air France-KLM and its drivers in delivering the new fleet.
“Minimising fleet CO2 emissions as much as possible was key so that employees benefited from the lowest possible BIK tax, whilst ensuring that the cars were fit for purpose.
“The Hyundai Ioniq premium hybrid delivered on all fronts.”
