Fleet software firm Jaama is calling for businesses to better monitor young drivers.
In reaction to The AA’s Young Drivers at Risk report, the organisation is urging employers to keep a tighter check on business drivers under the age of 25.
Martin Evans, sales and operations director at Jaama, said: “Employers can try and limit those risks by, for example, not allowing young and newly qualified drivers to take to the wheel of vehicles above a prescribed horsepower [level].
“We would also recommend a minimum age policy and a minimum time period between an employee passing their test and being allowed to drive for work.”
