Jeep has confirmed UK specs and prices for the launch version of its third-generation Compass medium SUV.

The Compass First Edition will be available with a choice of full EV and 48V hybrid powertrains.

The EV features a 213hp motor and a 74kWh battery, giving a provisional range of up to 310 miles on the WLTP cycle.

The 48V hybrid features a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 21kW electric motor, with combined output of 145hp.

Standard equipment with First Edition spec includes alloy wheels measuring 18in with the 48V hybrid, and 20in with the EV. Other standard features include heated seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone air conditioning, personalised ambient lighting, power folding heated mirrors, passive entry/keyless go, a 10in driver display, and a 16in infotainment screen.

Prices for the Compass First Edition start at £35,700 for the 48V hybrid, and £39,200 for the EV. Orders are due to open in the third quarter of this year. Other versions, including a plug-in hybrid and longer-range EV, will follow.
