Leasing giant Lex has won the contract to manage homebuilding company Taylor Wimpey’s vehicle fleet.
The contract was awarded after Taylor Woodrow and George Wimpey merged to create Taylor Wimpey in July of last year.
As well as managing the 1650-strong fleet, Lex will also manage the sale and leaseback of 700 vehicles that previously belonged to George Wimpey.
Prior to the merger of the two companies, Taylor Woodrow had been a Lex client for six years, while George Wimpey was a new customer.
Steve Parr of Taylor Wimpey said: “The service has already delivered tangible benefits to our business and will continue to deliver benefits to our drivers.”
