A number of new technology features – including Apple Carplay and Android Auto – will become available on the Lexus UX compact SUV.
The Lexus UX is getting a mild update for 2020, with the option of a Premium Pack Pro, a new Driver Assist Pack, new upholstery and trim options for the interior, and the introduction of Apple Carplay and Android Auto. The latter is a very welcome upgrade, as we found the standard infotainment to be lacking in our long-term test.
The Premium Pack Pro combines a number of desirable options, while keeping the total cost below £40,000 so it doesn’t incur the additional VED penalty. The pack includes blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert with auto-braking, a head-up display, adaptive LED headlights, a 13-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, wireless phone charging, a power adjustable steering wheel and eight-way power-adjustable front seats with two-way lumbar adjustment on the driver’s seat. The driver assistance features included can also be ordered separately, as the Driver Assist Pack.
Lexus is also adding two new interior colour schemes. The Cobalt option combines black and blue trim and seat upholstery in contrasting white and blue (fabric on the UX grade, leather on higher grades). The F White interior is only available on the UX F Sport and combines a black leather dashboard with white seats with a black stripe.
