Licence Check has introduced a new way of adding new drivers to Davis, its driver and vehicle compliance management system, which it says will allow information to be collected and verified more quickly and efficiently.
The new On-Site workflow feature allows managers to add drivers face-to-face at a single location.
Once they are presented with the driver’s driving licence, the manager can add the driver’s name, personal details and mobile phone number, before performing a visual inspection of the photocard.
Once this is confirmed, Davis sends a validation code to the driver’s mobile phone, allowing them to complete the process.
The On-Site feature sits alongside the existing ways of adding drivers to the system, including e-approval, paper mandates and card data readers.
Licence Check general manager Terry Hiles said: “Growing numbers of agency drivers and rising numbers of revoked licences have combined to make rapid and regular licence checking an essential part of any compliance regime.
“That is without taking into account the numbers of ‘regular’ company licence checks that also need to be carried out to ensure compliance.”
