Mazda has revealed an early shot of the new upper medium 6 estate prior to the car’s official unveiling at the Paris motor show next month.
The car in the picture, which was showcased at a ceremony in Japan, is the first of the new models off the production line, while the 6 saloon is due to be unveiled at the Moscow motor show at the end of August.
Exact engines and trim levels have yet to be confirmed but suffice to say the firm’s latest generation of clean Skyactiv engines, as debuted in the CX-5 4×4, will make up part of the line-up.
The car in the image is fitted with a 2.0-litre petrol engine, while Mazda’s 2.2-litre diesel engine in 150- and 175hp guise is expected to be the volume seller in the UK, the cleanest version of which will emit 105g/km.
