Mercedes will launch a coupe version of the new S-class later this year.
As well as carrying the latest high-tech kit seen in the S-class saloon, such as collision prevention, pedestrian detection, clever cruise with steering assist, active lane-keeping, adaptive full beam assist and night vision, the coupe will come with Magic Body Control, which actively adjusts the suspension so that the car leans into corners.
“The vehicle leans into bends much like a motorcyclist, thereby reducing the lateral acceleration acting on the vehicle’s occupants. On country roads in particular, this means greater driving pleasure and ride comfort for our customers,” said a spokesman.
The car will initially go on sale with a 455hp 4.7-litre V8 bi-turbo petrol engine.
