Windscreen repair company National Windscreens has signed a two-year contract with the RAC, meaning it is now the sole glass provider for the motoring organisation’s fleet of 1500 vehicles.
The vehicles are covered by the firm’s accident management division, which is designed to provide an end-to-end service, easing the burden on fleet managers.
National Windscreens recently introduced ‘Partscheck’ – software designed to identify the correct replacement glass using the vehicle registration number.
The company claims the system is currently running at 99.5% accuracy, which it said helped to secure the contract.
“National Windscreens’ comprehensive UK-wide coverage is the perfect fit for our business,” said Nick Williams, general manager of RAC accident services.
“We offer breakdown and accident management services to motorists throughout the UK, so need to be confident that our suppliers have the capability to support us wherever needed.”
